These ammo pouches utilise the excellent Norma box inserts to securely hold five rounds of your 30-06, .270, 9.3x62, 35 Whelen, 25-06 and similar cartridges. By pressing in and up on the cartridge through the window cutout, the round will pop up for easy retrieval. 
These are much easier to use than traditional leather loops and they keep the projectile tips safe from wear and damage. 
A belt can be fed through the rear slots to carry it on your belt, or it can be just thrown in a pack. 
The flap over design prevents any rounds falling out or being knocked out by brushing through vegetation. There are two Sam Browne studs with extra secure knobs that open silently and are made from solid brass that is nickel plated a matte finish. They are riveted on, not screwed in. 
These are stitched on machine, and use Horween Dublin leather from the US. It’s nice and soft yet durable and has a nice pull up effect. It doesn’t squeak in use either. Good for stalking. 
The edges are sealed but not burnished to a high gloss. These are made to be beaten up. Lifetime warranty included.
