Handcrafted Leather Goods, Made in Gippsland

Carswell Leather Goods is the workshop of Martin Carswell, a traditionally trained leather craftsman based in Warragul, Victoria.

​

Each piece is constructed entirely by hand using vegetable-tanned leather, solid hardware, and traditional saddle stitching techniques. Inspired by European and Japanese leatherworking traditions, the work emphasises structure, proportion, and durability — objects designed to age beautifully and remain repairable for decades.

From briefcases and folios to belts, rifle slings and cases, every item is made in small batches or to order in the Gippsland workshop.
